FAQ

Welcome to the FAQ. I think I’ve covered all the bases here, but there’s a contact form around here somewhere if you have more.

Q: Are you secretly some big box store or international corporate vampire?

A: Nope. Just a dude in his own basement who loves records.

Q: Are your records new or used?

A: Used record are obviously used, but everything else on this online shop is brand spankin’ new and as near mint as possible without opening them. I have tons of used records of all grades, very few listed online.

Q: Do you have a physical store I can visit?

A: No. Just my house where I live with my family. You can totally help buy me a real store by buying a lot of records, though.

Q: How do you ship these records, and how much does it cost?

A: In a box with a receipt on a UPS truck. Shipping is a flat fee of $8, but there’s an awesome little radio button that says “free shipping” if you spend more than $35. You could hypothetically choose not to click on it and pay an extra $8, but that seems silly and I’ll probably refund it.

Q: What if my package gets messed up in shipping?

A: Contact me and send photos so I can argue with my UPS rep. As long as you aren’t scamming me, you’ll get your money back.

Q: Why don’t you have hundreds of thousands of records in your inventory?

A: 1) I only sell what I actually have on hand, 2) I don’t buy garbage, and 3) I’m not a millionaire.

Q: Do you participate in RSD?

A: No.

Q: Aren’t new records cut from digital sources, defeating the entire purpose of analog?

A: Oh gawd. Ok, first, electromagnets (aka speakers) don’t care what you feed them so long as it’s accurate. Second, artists, labels, and manufacturers want them to sound good. Last, and most important, I would rather listen to a mediocre sounding record than a great sounding CD or cassette tape. I like records. There’s plenty of garbage out there, but I don’t sell it.
